About Company Company is a leading, women-owned VC firm investing in visionary and diverse founders at the pre-seed and seed stages. We have backed 100+ startups globally, including unicorn-caliber companies, and are now making a rare strategic hire to help build the internal operating system of our boutique, technology-driven firm. Role Overview You will work directly with the Partners across AI, operations, and systems design to build scalable internal workflows, automate processes, and bring structure to how we manage information, pipeline, and priorities. This is a deep-work, systems-focused role — not sourcing or events. What You’ll Do AI-Enabled Workflow Design Audit existing tools (email, Slack, Notion, Airtable, CRM) and identify friction points. Build AI-powered workflows for deal triage, research, summarization, communication drafts, and meeting synthesis. Treat AI as a practical force multiplier focused on clarity and reliability. Systems, Structure & Knowledge Management Build and maintain the firm’s operating spine using Airtable and other AI tools. Create schemas, tagging systems, and playbooks for pipeline, portfolio, and stakeholder tracking. Turn partner thinking into structured, searchable knowledge bases. Automation & Integrations Use tools like Zapier/Make and APIs to connect systems, reduce manual work, and keep data synchronized. Maintain automations as tools and processes evolve. Light Analytics & Reporting Support Partners with insights for IC discussions, portfolio updates, and LP conversations. Build simple dashboards or queries to answer recurring questions. Special Projects Own operational or strategic initiatives that increase Partner leverage (content engines, process codification, templates, checklists, event simplification). Continuously identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve. Who You Are AI-Native Builder Uses AI in a structured way: workflows, prompts, systems thinking. Knows when to rely on tools and when to think independently. Systems-Minded Naturally brings order to scattered information and undefined processes. Enjoys turning chaos into documented flows usable by different work styles. Independent Problem Solver Takes vague problems and returns with structure, prototypes, and clear plans. Communicates progress proactively and manages time autonomously. Analytical & Clear Communicator Understands trade-offs behind tools and workflows. Writes concise, practical documentation for non-technical teammates. Low-Ego, High-Ownership Comfortable receiving direct feedback and driving adoption of new systems. Qualifications 2–7 years in operations, biz ops, product ops, RevOps, chief-of-staff, analytics, or similar roles in startups, tech, or investment firms. Experience designing workflows/automations (Notion, Airtable, CRMs, Zapier/Make). Demonstrated use of AI tools to transform workflows. Comfort with data work (spreadsheets, basic queries; bonus for APIs/scripting). Strong written communication; ability to work remote-first with high reliability. Growth Path For the right person, this role leads to: Owning Company’s internal operating system end-to-end. Becoming the firm’s AI + systems leader. Influencing how we run investments, portfolio support, and LP communication. Progress will be measured by: Systems that drive adoption and real usage. Clear improvements in time saved and decision quality. Ability to anticipate needs and build before things break.
