Credit Analyst Position We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced SME Credit Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing the creditworthiness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing appropriate financial solutions, and managing the credit risk of our portfolio. This key role directly contributes to the growth of our client portfolio while ensuring the robustness of our credit evaluation processes and compliance with Mexican regulations. Responsibilities Evaluate credit applications: Analyze the credit capacity of SMEs through the analysis of financial statements, credit histories, and cash flow projections. In-depth financial analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows to ensure that companies can meet their credit obligations. Prepare credit proposals: Draft clear reports and presentations that include recommendations on the granting or denial of credit, based on internal policies and market guidelines. Portfolio management: Monitor ongoing loans, anticipate potential default risks, and propose timely corrective actions. Client relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring they understand the credit terms and offering solutions tailored to their business needs. Regulatory compliance: Ensure that all credit processes and decisions comply with local regulations, particularly the guidelines of the CNBV (National Banking and Securities Commission). Risk assessment: Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks associated with SME credit applications, developing strategies to reduce default risk. Collateral review: Evaluate the suitability of collateral offered as credit backing. Process optimization: Collaborate in the continuous improvement of internal credit evaluation and approval procedures, increasing efficiency and reducing response times. Market research: Stay updated with economic conditions and regulations that may affect SMEs in Mexico, adjusting credit analysis strategies as necessary. Requirements Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in SME credit analysis, preferably in financial institutions or banks. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in financial statement analysis and risk assessment techniques. Familiarity with financial regulations and norms in Mexico (CNBV, Bank of Mexico). Proficiency in financial software tools such as advanced Excel, SAP, QuickBooks, among others. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills. Ability to work in a team. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Languages: Native Spanish and fluent English. Compensation Max salary offered: $50,000 MXN (before taxes). Must be located in Mexico.
