The Role: We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant with HIGH expertise on US accounting to join our team. In this individual contributor role, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping: Accurately record financial transactions, including processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards. Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts. Compliance & Tax Support: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, supporting tax filings and audits as needed. Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and decision-making. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or small business environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial ERP systems is a plus. Audit Experience: Experience in audit-based work is a big plus. Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and tax regulations. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis.
