Assessment instruments

  • Attentional controlAssessment instruments

Attentional control is the ability to stay focused on a task despite distraction.

    Part of MSCS

    Closest to "focus."

It's the facet closest to what people mean by "focus": not whether someone starts a task, but whether they can stay on it once they have.

    How it shows up

High attentional control keeps working through a noisy environment or a tempting notification. Low attentional control loses the thread more easily, even on tasks they care about.

    Why it matters at Mappa

In a distraction-heavy work environment, this facet often predicts throughput better than raw motivation does.
