Assessment instruments

  • BAS driveAssessment instruments

BAS drive is the persistent pursuit of desired goals.

    Part of BIS/BAS

    Sustained motivation

It's the facet of behavioral activation most about sustained motivation toward a specific outcome, rather than the momentary pleasure of pursuing it.

    How it shows up

High BAS drive keeps pushing toward a goal well past the point where the initial excitement has faded. Low BAS drive is more easily satisfied with partial progress.

    Why it matters at Mappa

BAS drive is one of the clearer signals of whether someone will sustain effort on a long project without needing frequent external prompting.

Find out how relentlessly you pursue a goal.
