Assessment instruments

  • ConformityAssessment instruments

Conformity is the value placed on restraining actions and impulses likely to upset others or violate social expectations.

    Part of PVQ

    Restraint for harmony

It's about self-restraint in service of social harmony: holding back an impulse specifically because acting on it would disrupt an expectation or a norm.

    How it shows up

High conformity is careful to stay within established norms, even at some personal cost. Low conformity is more willing to act against expectation when it serves another priority.

    Why it matters at Mappa

Conformity shapes how someone responds to established process, particularly process they personally disagree with.
