Assessment instruments

  • DiligenceAssessment instruments

Diligence is self-discipline and drive to work hard, and persistence toward goals even when the work is unrewarding in the moment.

    Part of Conscientiousness

    What it’s about

This is closer to what most people mean when they describe someone as simply "getting things done": less about the elegance of the process, more about sustained effort toward the outcome.

    How it shows up

High diligence keeps pushing on a task well past the point where the initial motivation has faded. Low diligence can start strong and lose momentum once the work stops being interesting.

    Why it matters at Mappa

Diligence and organization often get bundled into one "conscientiousness" impression, but they predict different things, and a role that needs one doesn't automatically get the other.
