Assessment instruments

  • FearfulnessAssessment instruments

Fearfulness is the tendency to feel fear in response to physical danger or threat.

    Part of Emotionality

    What it’s about

It's the most literal, physical facet in Emotionality, narrower than general anxiety, which covers worry across situations that aren't necessarily dangerous.

    How it shows up

The two facets don't always move together. Someone can be highly anxious about a presentation and largely unfazed by physical risk, or the reverse, which is exactly why they're measured separately.

    Why it matters at Mappa

Roles vary in how much they touch on either kind of pressure, and conflating the two facets would blur a distinction that's genuinely useful to keep separate.

Find out how you respond to physical risk.
