Assessment instruments

  • FlexibilityAssessment instruments

Flexibility is willingness to compromise and cooperate with others, even when it means adjusting your own position.

    Part of Agreeableness

    What it’s about

It's the facet most directly tied to negotiation and disagreement in the moment, separate from how someone feels afterward, which is closer to forgiveness.

    How it shows up

High flexibility moves toward a workable middle ground fairly readily. Low flexibility holds its position longer, sometimes usefully, sometimes at the cost of resolving things faster.

    Why it matters at Mappa

Flexibility determines how easily someone moves from disagreement to a working resolution, which is a large part of what makes cross-functional work either smooth or slow.

Find out how flexible you actually are.
