Company culture

  • ClanCompany culture

Clan is one of four culture profiles in the Competing Values Framework, oriented around collaboration: an extended-family feel, teamwork, and developing people.

A clan-oriented culture emphasizes cohesion and participation, often prioritizing employee development and internal relationships over external competition or rigid process.

    How it shows up

A clan-oriented team tends to make decisions through consensus and treats mentorship and internal growth as a core part of how the organization operates, not an add-on to it.

    Why it matters

A strongly clan-oriented environment tends to suit people who are energized by close, ongoing collaboration and less suited to people who prefer clearly defined individual ownership.
